RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLIC HEARING RELATIVE TO CAPITAL PROJECTS

WHEREAS, the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 1, Township of Riverside, County of Burlington, State of New Jersey, finds it necessary, in order to fulfill its mandated charge of fire prevention and fire protection within the District, to undertake certain capital projects, namely, the acquisition of a Fire Chief Command Vehicle and related emergency response equipment; and

WHEREAS, in compliance with N.J.S.A. 40A:14-84, a public hearing shall be held by the Fire District to allow the public the opportunity to be heard concerning the proposed expenditures.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 1, Township of Riverside, County of Burlington, State of New Jersey, as follows:

1. A public hearing shall be held by the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 1, Township of Riverside, County of Burlington, relative to the proposed expenditures for the purchase of a Fire Chief Command Vehicle and related emergency response equipment in an amount not to exceed one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) for Riverside Township Fire District No. 1;
2. The public hearing shall be held on August 24, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Fire District Headquarters (Riverside Firehouse) located at 14 West Scott Street, Riverside, New Jersey;
3. Copies of the Resolution shall be made available to each person requesting a copy of same from the date following publication of this Notice up to and including the date of the meeting;
4. This Resolution shall be published and posted in accordance with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A:14-84; and
5. After the public hearing the Fire District may adopt a resolution authorizing the purchase of a Fire Chief Command Vehicle and related emergency response equipment in an amount not to exceed one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00).
